I happened to be born in the Sverdlovsk Region, and, when I was just a baby, my parents moved with me to the warm and beautiful city Sochi, where, by the way, the Olympic Games 2014 will be held.
Like our entire country I'm very proud that the Olympic Games will be held exactly in Russia and exactly in Sochi, and I will definitely attend the Games as a compatriot and a fan.
In this wonderful city I went to the secondary school and took water sports. By the way, I have always been an active and spirited person, smart and quick-witted, and already at school I have become a Komsomol leader. We arranged different kinds of activities: went hiking, on trips, arranged sports camps and so on and so forth.
After finishing school I entered the Polytechnic Institute. A half a year later I realized that it’s not for me.
The choice of my profession was determined by my mother’s friend, one of the best lawyers in the Krasnodar Territory, that played a hand to my employment, i.e. in order to eliminate my hacking around she asked the President of the Court to accept me for employment.
And I am still very grateful to her for it. Up to now Rimma Mikhailovna Levinson is a practicing lawyer, highly qualified professional.
So in 1982 I entered upon legal career. I started as a secretary of judicial session. Time passed and I became a bailiff at the district court of Sochi. As they say, continuing the tradition, I headed the Komsomol of militia, prosecution service, court and members of the bar in the Khostinsky district of Sochi. At that time the procurator of the Khostinsky district was Vladimir Ustinov.
In 1992 I graduated from the law faculty of the Kuban State University. By the way, at that time our University was one of the best education institutions in the country (still now it has a high rate).
The academic staff was brilliant. Doctors of sciences, professors, assistant professors. Chugaev Alexander Petrovich that has recently celebrated 90 years is still making indispensable contribution to educational activities and training of students up to the present day. And my warmest congratulations to your birthday, Alexander Petrovich! Unfortunately, Khutyz Murbeck Khadzhumarovich, the teacher of Roman private law, the professors G.A. Vorobiev, K.M. Martynenko, M.N. Tarasenko, A.A. Khmyrov, V.A. Prudnikov, E.A. Shapiro, A.D. Zelensky, V.P. Gromov and many others.already passed away. It was very interesting to study (you can find the history of the faculty on the website: http://law.kubsu.ru/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=95&Itemid=69).
For the record, many graduates from my University are the members of supreme courts and the courts of the constituent entities of the Federation, among them the Vice-President of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Vladimir Soloviev, the Justice of the Supreme Court Victor Momotov, the Vice-President of the Regional Court of the Krasnodar Territory Igor Nikolaychuk, the President of the Federal Arbitration Court of the North Caucasus District Grigory Mantul and many others. I remember as Victor Victorovich gave lectures to us when he had just graduated from the University and came to teaching profession.
After moving to Moscow I worked as an assistant of the prosecutor for judicial supervision of Moscow city. Although I supposed my career only as a judicial office, the destiny had other plans for me.
In 1995 the year I came to the bar where I work till now.
The bar has become for me not only the profession, it is my life, my hobby, my passion. I guess I really needed to try different professions in law to understand that the bar is my true purpose.
